Department of Telecommunication (DoT) has declared the number 14546 for verification of mobile number. By dialing this number, you will be able to re-certify with your mobile number based on your home.
For this dial 14546, enter the base number, then one will be an OTP. Entering this OTP number will require verification of your number.
However, for this process your mobile number must be registered in the base. The home-based mobile phone support facility is totally free.
However, attention should be given that base based authentication is only valid for mobile number re-verification, it can not be used to open a bank or a wallet account or otherwise for other services.
The Department of Telecommunication (DoT) has asked all telecom companies to provide the facility of provisioning their own customers with a mobile number base with the help of this service. If your mobile number is not registered with the base then the mobile number will go to the company’s outlet.
However, the NRI can not use the 14546 service.
